KUALA LUMPUR: Three Felda settlements in Bera, Pahang, and four Orang Asli villages in Kinta, Perak, will be under a two-week Enhanced Movement Control Order (EMCO) starting Wednesday until Oct 12.

National Security Council (NSC) director-general Datuk Rodzi Md Saad, in a statement, said the order was imposed to contain a further spread of the Covid-19 infection.

"Following a risk assessment by the Health Ministry on infection trends, the EMCO will be enforced at the Perkampungan Orang Asli Seri Makmur in Tanjung Rambutan involving Kg Bakok, Kg Jambu, Kg Lalang and Kg Dollah in the Kinta district," he said.

He said the EMCO in Bera, Pahang, would involve Felda Rentam, Felda Tementi and Felda Sebertak.

Rodzi said four localities in Sabah, two in Pahang and one in Perak will end their EMCO phase as scheduled tomorrow.

"In Sabah the localities are Kota Warisan, Rumah Pangsa Tanjung Aru in Kota Kinabalu, Kg Rugading in Kota Marudi, Kilang Fu Yee Brantian in Kalabakan".

Meanwhile in Pahang, Rodzi said the EMCO ends at Kampung Temalian, Ulu Dong, in Raub and Kg Paya Pelong, Kerdau, in Temerloh.

He said one other EMCO that will come to an end is at Kampung Orang Asli Gangai, Mukim Slim, in Muallim district, Perak.
