KUALA LUMPUR: Pahang has recorded the highest infectivity rate or R-naught (Rt) in the country, at 1.05.

Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said the national average currently stands at 0.95 with only Labuan recording an Rt of 0.

The Health Ministry, he said, also detected 26 new Covid-19 clusters over the past 24 hours with half of them being workplace clusters.

Among the 13 workplace clusters identified today, the Batu Empat Tapah cluster in Perak involving the Batang Padang, Hilir Perak, Perak Tengah, and Kampar districts logged the most number of infections (131 cases).

Five out of the seven community clusters reported today were identified in Kelantan, with two originating from the Kota Bharu district and another three from the Pasir Mas district.

However, the community cluster that logged the highest number of new cases today was the Kampung Sungai Gapoi cluster in Bentong, Pahang, with 70 new infections.

The remaining five clusters comprised of four educational clusters and one high-risk group cluster.
