MUAR: A recent vaccination exercise by a mobile unit at Bukit Pasir near here succeeded in ensuring 600 people were fully vaccinated.

People gathered as early as 7am at the SMK Bukit Pasir school gate for jabs scheduled at 8am.

Volunteers from Srikandi Bersatu, Belia Elit Club and Armada Pagoh assisted a team from the Muar Department of Health to ensure everything ran smoothly.

"This second round is easier for us volunteers as we had gone through the same thing during the first dose session," said Srikandi Pagoh chief Janariah Abu Nawan.

"We ensure there is orderly social distancing and temperature scans, and help the elderly to get to their checkpoints," said volunteer Suhana Hashim.

With the mobile unit, the aim is to ensure herd immunity is achieved in northern Johor.
