Food supplies for students at the university hostels. - NSTP/ZAINAL AZIZ

PAGOH: University Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM) and International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) students here received assistance recently to help them through the lockdown.

Bukit Pasir state assemblyman Najib Lep presented food supplies and other contributions to students who had to remain on campus.

"This is timely and will help us through this lockdown," said UTHM student representative council head Muhammad Faris Abdul Hadi.

Each university also received RM5,000 to be used to buy food and other supplies for students.

Najib said that there would be consistent support for students who have to remain in their campus residences during the lockdown.

"Students on campuses should have their needs taken care of."
