KOTA BARU: A company along Jalan Sri Cemerlang here was issued a RM10,000 compound for not displaying the Mysejahtera QR Code for check-ins yesterday.

The company was among several premises fined during a state-wide operation by the health department.

Its operator was issued with the RM10,000 compound for flouting the Movement Control Order's (MCO) standard operating procedures (SOP).

Kelantan health department director, Datuk Dr Zaini Hussin when contacted confirmed the fine which was imposed under the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases Act 1988 (Act 342).

Meanwhile, teams from the state health department continue to carry out their operations to track down those flouting SOPs during the MCO period.

The operations which started recently, covered several areas in the state particularly in towns.

Kelantan was placed under MCO since April 29 following a surge in Covid-19 cases.

The state recorded 254 new Covid-19 cases yesterday bringing the cumulative figure to 17,101.

Three people died yesterday due to the pandemic, bringing the total deaths in the state to 63.
