KUALA LUMPUR: Claims over vaccination queue jumpers continued on social media with the latest alleging drivers and maids of high-profile individuals had skipped queues for their doses.

MedTweetMY chair Dr Khairul Hafidz Alkhair Khairul Amin said the coalition of doctors and health-workers had received various complaints on queue jumpers.

He said documents listing names and pictures related to the issue were furnished by complainants who wished to remain anonymous.

"I have received many complaints of queue jumping with documented proof of name lists and pictures.

"There are some whose own children, took pictures; municipal councillors are also allegedly getting the vaccines. Are they frontliners?"

"It is also rumoured that maids and drivers of VIPs (very important persons) will also be vaccinated," he said through his Twitter account.

Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr Adham Baba had said on Monday those who jumped queue for the vaccine could be prosecuted under the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases Act 1988.

Science, Technology and Innovation Minister Khairy Jamaluddin said that individuals who were not frontliners have been removed from the first-phase vaccination list.

Dr Khairul however said that all documents and details on the matter had been sent to the channels provided by the Science, Technology and Innovation Ministry for further action.

"I hope this issue will be taken seriously.

"We also hope that the complainants will get the ministry's response so they know what action is taken."

Dr Khairul said that he had channelled another complaint sent by a Twitter user to MedTweetMy who claimed to have evidence of frontliners in a particular city that were still waiting for their vaccine though several high-profile individuals were already inoculated.
