KANGAR: Police have mounted three roadblocks at main roads in Kuala Sanglang which is now under the Targeted Enhanced Movement Control Order (TEMCO).

Kangar police chief Superintendent Wari Kiew said the three roadblocks involved the main roads which linked Perlis with Kedah via Kuala Sanglang.

Among the roads involved are; Jalan Simpang Empat headed to Kuala Sanglang via the tri-junction of Jalan Padang Keria, Jalan Kuala Perlis heading to Kuala Sanglang at the Kuala Sanglang General Operations Force (PGA) control post.

Apart from that, roadblocks were also set-up at the Jalan Kuala Sanglang near Sekolah Jenis Kebangsaan (SJKC) Chin Hun.

"Each of these roadblocks will be manned in shifts by four frontline members (each shift) to control the entry and exit of the public in the area where the TEMCO was manned.

"Each of the SJR will be manned by 20 security personnel and we hope the residents can give full cooperation to the front line members," he said today.

Two villages, namely Kampung Kuala Sanglang and Kampung Tanah Timbul had been placed under TEMCO for 28 days starting 10pm on Saturday onwards.

As of Saturday, Perlis had recorded 30 new cases, including 11 from the PUI Sivagangga cluster.
