PUTRAJAYA: The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) today announced new appointments involving key posts at the commission.

In a statement, the MACC said that Datuk Seri Ahmad Khusairi Yahaya has been appointed director of the Investigation Division, effective Dec 24.

He takes over from Datuk Seri Simi Abdul Ghani, 60, who retired on the same date after serving the commission for the past 36 years.

Simi began his career at the MACC as an investigation officer in 1983.

Ahmad Khusairi, 52, who previously served as the director of the Intelligence Division, began his career as an investigation officer in 1992.

His past positions at the commission include director of the Policy, Planning and Research Division; and head of the MACC Kuala Lumpur office.

Meanwhile, Datuk Abd Aziz Aban, 55, who was director of the Inspection and Consultation Division, takes over Ahmad Khusairi's post of director of the Intelligence Division, effective Dec 24.

Aziz had previously served as director of MACC state offices in Putrajaya, Kelantan and Penang.
