MARANG: The floods have forced 22 people from six families to leave their homes in Wakaf Tapai, following continuous rain over the past 24 hours.
They were evacuated to the Wakaf Tapai civic centre at 11.30am today.
Marang disaster management operation centre in a brief alert said the victims would remain in the centre until the floods subside.
It said the Meteorological Department has raised the weather alert for Kemaman to orange (heavy rainfall) and northern districts to yellow (moderate rainfall) until Sunday.
