KUALA LUMPUR: Dressed smartly in a navy blue suit, Datuk Seri Najib Razak arrived at the KL Court Complex in Jalan Duta at about 1.50pm accompanied by his youngest son, Ashman Najib.

The moment he stepped out of his car, a group of 20 supporters began chanting “Hidup Najib”.

A supporter then recited prayers (bacaan doa) for a smooth and fair trial for Najib.

There was also strong security personnel present with the former prime minister.

Najib is facing seven charges relating to criminal breach of trust, abuse of power and money laundering involving RM42 million of SRC International Sdn Bhd’s funds.

The trial today will be presided by High Court judge Mohd Nazlan Mohd Ghazali.
