Negri Sembilan Menteri Besar Aminuddin Harun says an annoucement will be made during the state assembly sitting next month.

SEREMBAN: Menteri Besar Aminuddin Harun is hinting that there could be good news for civil servants and low income households (B40) in the state’s Budget 2019, which will be tabled next month.

He said an announcement on the matter would be made during the state assembly sitting, which will take place from Dec 17 to 19.

“Insha-Allah some good news will be announced, not only for civil servants but also the B40s,” he said, after chairing a meeting at his official residence, here, today.

“We will make sure (these two) groups’ wellbeing is taken care of.

“Many other things will be announced.

“We will give lots of good news to civil servants and the community as a whole.”

Aminuddin said the plan to declare Seremban a city, which had been rescheduled to take place in the middle of next year, had been postponed to 2020 to give the state government more time to make preparations.

“There are a lot of things to be done especially in the provision of public facilities, housing and office issues.”

On another matter, Aminuddin said the Jempol District Council would be upgraded and renamed the Jempol Municipal Council on Jan 29.

“We will make this declaration one of the events during the 71st birthday celebrations of (Yang di-Pertuan Besar Negri Sembilan) Tuanku Muhriz Tuanku Munawir,” he said.
