"The most vital thing now is to implement all promises that we have unveiled in our manifesto and it should be implemented," he said adding that he has yet to confirm on which portfolio he would be held.

The portfolio will be unveiled tomorrow by Perak Menteri Besar Ahmad Faizal Azumu in a press conference.

"The first step is to meet all the department and agency's chief in the state with the related portfolio given in order for us to come out with plans and that will be enjoyed by the people later," he added.

Echoing his sentiment was Hasnul Zulkarnain Abd Munaim who is also Titi Serong assemblyman from Parti Amanah Negara (Amanah) who pledged to fulfil the manifesto for the benefit of Perakians.

"I still could not believe that I was appointed as exco because there are so many candidates from Amanah who have years of experiences but I take this as a challenge to prove that I am capable of doing my work.

"I have yet to know on which portfolio that I will be held but should I be given the Youth and Sports, it will be a bonus for me. However, everything has yet to be finalised," said the 38-year-old.

Former Perak exco in 2008 under the Pakatan Rakyat (PR) ticket, A. Sivanesan said his involvement in a new exco line-up would be given a new hope for the Indian community in the state.

"I used to be one of the exco members but not so many things I have done since my service only lasted for 10 months. But this time, I promise that I will do my best to help the Indian community and other related matters to develop Perak.

"Among the issues that will be highlighted is the welfare of Indian community in term of economic, education and social. For education, there are 125 Tamil schools in Perak and these schools need better facilities in order to create a conducive environment.

"Not only that, the religious matter will also be given attention such as temples. We want to know how many temples have yet to register and how many have already registered. We want to re-organize this," he added.

Meanwhile, the sole Malay exco from DAP, Dr Abdul Aziz Bari described his appointment yesterday as exco member as the trust in the leadership and he is ready to run his responsibility.

"I will do my best and to solve community issues. I don't mind on which portfolio that I will be assigned to because it will be my obligation," he added.
