PUTRAJAYA: Malaysia Airlines today dismissed claims that flight MH8008, from Kuala Lumpur to Jeddah, was experiencing technical issues.
"Malaysia Airlines would like to state that the post by Kelab Info Malaysia on Facebook is a hoax. The post had mentioned that flight MH8008 from Kuala Lumpur to Jeddah was facing some technical difficulties,"
"The A380-800 aircraft, which is operating this route, is in good flying condition," it said in a statement, today.
The airline said MH8008 departed Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) at 12.53pm and scheduled to arrive in Jeddah at 6pm today.
"Malaysia Airlines takes the matter of fake posts very seriously. The airline would like to urge all passengers to refer to our official social media platforms or website for updates." it added.
