KUALA LUMPUR: A police sergeant was killed in a single-vehicle accident on the Kuala Lumpur-Seremban expressway here on Wednesday night.
Low Nyuk Chian, 54, sustained head and leg injuries in the midnight accident and was pronounced dead at the scene near the junction heading towards Jalan Istana.
City Police Traffic Enforcement and Investigation Department Chief Assistant Commissioner Zulkefly Yahya said Low lost control of his Proton Wira, which then hit a concrete flyover pillar.
Zulkefly said Low, who was attached to the Serdang district police headquarters, was on his way back home to Cheras from work.
Low's remains were sent to the Kuala Lumpur Hospital for a post-mortem.
