SANDAKAN: Police are looking for the next of kin of a man found hanged from a tree in the bushes at Bandar Utama, off Mile 6 Jalan Labuk Wednesday.
The district police were notified of the discovery by the public at about 1.30pm.
Police have taken down the body and have it sent to the Duchess of Kent Hospital for a post-mortem.
The man, estimated to be in his 40s, was clad in a green T-shirt and jeans but the police did not find any form of identification on him.
He was seen entering the bushes opposite the shops in Bandar Utama on Tuesday but witnesses thought he had gone to answer nature’s call.
Those with missing family members or may have information about the deceased have been urged to come forward to assist police investigations.
