MELAKA: Flash floods which hit Kampung Pantai Kundor in Tanjung Kling here this morning swiftly receded by noon today.
Residents in the village were seen carrying their belongings through knee-high flood waters after a heavy downpour earlier today.
Many houses were inundated, but police confirmed that there were no casualties.
When contacted, Melaka Tengah police chief Assistant Commissioner Afzanizar Ahmad confirmed that a flood had occurred in the area, but that no reports of casualties were received.
"I cannot elaborate much, but I was informed that the flood has receded in that area as of noon.
"No police reports have been filed by the public so far on the flood," he added.
