SHAH ALAM: A mentally-ill man who exposed his private parts to a woman in Section 26, Bukit Belimbing here has been arrested by the police.
Shah Alam police chief Assistant Commissioner Mohd Iqbal Ibrahim said they received a report on the incident from the victim at 11pm on Tuesday.
"The neighbourhood residents caught hold of the 46-year-old man and handed him over to us.
"Our investigations showed that the man was intoxicated and has mental illness.
"He is currently receiving psychiatric treatment at a private hospital in Klang," he said in a statement today.
He added a probe under Section 337D of the Penal Code, which carries a jail term of two years, is ongoing.
A video of the man sitting in a car, being surrounded by residents, and then dragged out of the car for his indecent behaviour went viral on social media.
