KUALA LUMPUR: The father of three who went by the name "Hot Daddy" and two women believed to be his lovers were taken to court again today over the spread of lewd videos two months ago.

Hasli Ikhwan Arif Zul Hasli, 32; Norhidayah Mahadi, 24, and Norshazrina Md Zamri, 27, pleaded not guilty to a charge of sale of obscene material before magistrate Nurul Izzah Shahruddin.

Hasli Ikhwan and Norhidayah were also charged in the Sessions Court for possessing obscene materials.

They also claimed trial to the charge before Sessions judge Siti Aminah Ghazali.

According to the charge sheet in the magistrate's court, the three were found to have sold obscene video recordings.

The charges, framed under Section 292(a) of the Penal Code, read together with Section 34 of the same code, were for offences allegedly committed at the Anti-Vice, Gambling and Secret Societies Division (D7) of the Wangsa Maju police headquarters between 11.47pm and 11.54pm on Jan 15.

They are liable to three years' imprisonment or a fine, or both, if found guilty.

In the Sessions Court, Hasli Ikhwan and Norhidayah were charged with possessing the obscene material at the same place at 4pm on Jan 22.

The offence, under Section 5(1)(a) of the Film Censorship Act 2002 carries a fine of between RM10,000 and RM50,000, or a jail sentence of not more than five years, or both, upon conviction.

Prosecution was handled by deputy public prosecutors Nurilya Ellyna Nor Azmal and Sheryn Yong Shi Yee while the accused were represented by lawyers Mohd Faris Abrar Othman, Mohammed Hissham Ramdzan and Nurul Aeir S. Muhammad Harvian Kamar.

At the magistrate's court, Siti Aminah set bail at RM4,000 each while at the Sessions Court, Hasli Ikhwan and Norhidayah were given bail of RM5,000 each.

Both courts set April 22 for remention.

On Jan 26, the three claimed trial before Siti Aminah to charges of promoting sexual activities for profit.

The charges were framed under Section 372(1)(e) of the Penal Code, read together with Section 34 of the same, which carries a hail term of up to 15 years, caning and fine upon conviction.

They were reported to have been arrested on Jan 17 by federal D7 policemen during a raid at a house in Janda Baik, Pahang.

It was reported that initial investigations showed that the suspects had sold obscene videos featuring "Hot Daddy" with several women on the X application for between RM100 and RM200 each.
