SUBANG JAYA: Two women were arrested after refusing to cooperate with police for an inspection.

One of them had filmed the exchange on their mobile phone, questioning the police's duty at Jalan SS15/4G, here, yesterday.

Subang Jaya police chief, Assistant Commissioner Wan Azlan Wan Mamat said in the incident at 11.10pm, while police personnel from the Subang Jaya Police Task Force Division were conducting crime prevention patrols along Jalan SS15/4G, here, they noticed a suspicious Perodua Myvi car with two women.

He said that after identifying themselves as police officers by showing their authority cards and requesting identification cards for inspection, both of them refused to cooperate, with one of them taking out a mobile phone to record a video and questioning the police's duty.

"Both suspects were arrested and investigations are being carried out under Section 186 of the Penal Code.

"The suspects were remanded for two days until today and released on police bail," he said in a statement today.

He said that the investigation papers would be referred to the deputy public prosecutor of Selangor for further instructions.

"The public is advised to fully cooperate with law enforcement agencies and not provoke actions that may lead to legal consequences for obstructing public servants from performing their duties," he said.
