HULU SELANGOR: A drunk man was involved in a brawl with restaurant workers in Bukit Beruntung after being ejected for allegedly disrupting other diners yesterday.

In the incident at 4pm, the 42-year-old suspect took a knife and damaged several items on the premises.

Hulu Selangor district police chief, Superintendent Ahmad Faizal Tahrim said the incident lasted about 30 minutes and involved a local man and six restaurant workers.

"One of the workers, also a cashier, noticed the suspect entering the restaurant drunk and starting to disturb the customers.

"When the police arrived, the suspect was arrested and taken to the police station for further action," he said when contacted today.

Ahmad Faizal said the fight caused the man to be injured in his index finger, elbow and forehead.

"The suspect, who has six previous records, was then taken to the hospital for treatment.

"The case is being investigated under Section 506/427 of the Penal Code and Section 323 of the Penal Code," he said.

Earlier, two viral video on social media X showed a group of men fighting in a restaurant in this district.
