MELAKA: A stall holder was charged at the Air Keroh Sessions Court here today with 10 counts of sexual crimes, including having unnatural sex with three minors and possessing child pornography.

The accused, Yusri Nadin, 57, who is hearing impaired, pleaded not guilty as soon as the charges were read out in front of Judge Azaraorni Abd Rahman.

According to the charge sheet, the accused is alleged to have had unnatural sex with the boy who was 13 years old at the time at an oil palm estate on Jalan Padang Lebar 3, Simpang Bekoh, Jasin on Dec 7 at around 9pm.

The accused was charged under Section 377C of the Penal Code and also faces nine charges under the Sexual Offences Against Children Act 2017.

It includes six charges of having unnatural sex with the same victim and two other children who are 13 years old under Section 14(a) of the Sexual Offences Against Children Act 2017 and two other charges of forcing two of the children to have unnatural sex with each other under Section 14(b) of the same act.

He is also accused of being in possession of child pornography in three handphones belonging to him which falls under Section 10 of the same act.

All the offences are alleged to have been committed at an oil palm estate, a rubber estate and a supermarket around Simpang Bekoh in Jasin between the middle of August last year until Feb 6.

Deputy Public Prosecutor Rashidah Baharom applied for bail at RM90,000 for all 10 charges under one surety, though lawyer Ishak Mohd Kari appealed for lower bail for his client.

The court granted the accused RM52,000 bail for all charges, with the additional condition that he not go close or disturb the victim until the case is over.

The accused had to report to a nearby police station once a month and surrender his passport to the court for safekeeping.

Re-mention of the case is set on March 28 and for the handover of the necessary documents.
