KUALA LUMPUR: The former Member of Parliament for Kapar will be brought to court tomorrow on charges of using insulting language.

The former Member of Parliament, who previously served as the PKR Branch Chief for Kuala Selangor, will be charged in the Magistrate's Court 1, Shah Alam, at 10am.

He will be accused under Section 14 of the Minor Offences Act 1955 for using insulting words.

The leader served as the representative of Kapar from 2008 to 2013 before being succeeded by G Manivannan.

Currently, the Kapar Parliament is represented by Dr Halimah Ali from PAS.

Under Section 14 of the Minor Offences Act 1955, anyone who uses any indecent, threatening, abusive or insulting words can be fined not exceeding RM100.
