KUALA LUMPUR: A hospital examination of one of the two brothers reported missing from Taman Bernam Jaya, Hulu Selangor, since Jan 1, has revealed no signs of sexual assault.

City police chief Datuk Allaudeen Abdul Majid said the examination also found no physical injuries on the victim.

"Investigation results suggest that the victim stayed with a 42-year-old suspect for 10 days at a hotel on Jalan Sultan.

"Further questioning revealed that the suspect had committed physical sexual abuse against the victim by molesting the teenager.

"However, the hospital examination confirmed no physical injuries and ruled out incidents of sexual assault," he said in a statement today.

Allaudeen also said the investigation papers have been referred to the Deputy Public Prosecutor, and the suspect will be charged under Section 14(a) of the Sexual Offences Against Children Act 2017.

Earlier, it was reported that a man had been remanded for seven days due to his suspected involvement in the case of two siblings who were reported missing after leaving their residence in Taman Bernam Jaya, Hulu Selangor, since Jan 1.

Allaudeen reportedly said they had received a report from a 16-year-old teenage boy at 2:48am on Jan 12, claiming that he was molested and sexually assaulted by a man at a hotel on Jalan Sultan.

Moreover, the teenager claimed that during their confinement, they were mistreated before being separated on Jan 9.

However, the teenager managed to escape before being found in a weak state at the Pasar Seni Light Rail Transit (LRT) station on Jan 11.
