KUALA LUMPUR: Another two individuals were charged today at the Kuala Terengganu Sessions Court with six charges of submitting false claims worth RM126,100 to the Social Security Organisation (Perkeso) under its Hiring Incentive Programme in 2021.

Nur Ilahi Skills Resources owner Arrie Syahiman Mohd Zain and its manager Nurul Azwani Mohd Razali pleaded not guilty to all charges before Judge Norashima Khalid today.

The two allegedly submitted a false claim by submitting falsified workers' information under the Hiring Incentive Programme to Socso to receive incentives.

The duo are being charged under Section 18 of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) Act 2009, read together with another three alternative charges under Section 471 of the Penal Code.

The court has set RM15,000 bail with one surety for each accused and fixed Nov 28 for mention.

Both accused are also prohibited from interfering with prosecution witnesses and are required to surrender their passports to the Court as well as report to the nearest MACC office every month until the case concludes.

The PenjanaKerjaya programme was among the government's initiatives to ease the burden of employers and employees affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.

MACC and Perkeso had launched Op Hire to investigate allegations of false claims and misappropriation of the PenjanaKerjaya incentive funds in several states.
