BAYAN LEPAS: A man from Kampung Seronok here was caught by the police yesterday after he was suspected of spying on his neighbour's wife while she was showering.

Checks later showed that it wasn't the peeping tom's first time spying on the woman.

The incident came to light when the woman received a video clip sent by one of her neighbours at 8am yesterday.

The clip showed a man, also a resident of the area, climbing onto a stool to peep into the woman's bathroom window while she was taking a shower.

A neighbour who saw the incident decided to record the man's actions and later sent the incriminating clip to the victim via WhatsApp.

The woman, upon viewing the video, immediately alerted her husband, who then lodged a police report.

The Southwest District police headquarters, in a statement, said police promptly arrested the 32-year-old suspect after receiving the report.

"After being cross-examined, he admitted to spying on the woman several times.

"He is being remanded until April 6. The case is being investigated under Section 509 of the Penal Code," the police said in a Facebook post.
