PASIR MAS: Police have arrested four men and seized a fake firearm and six live bullets in an operation yesterday.

Kelantan police chief Datuk Muhamad Zaki Harun said the raid was carried out at a house in Kampung Gong Datok in Pasir Puteh.

Speaking at a press conference here today, Zaki said a police party from the state contingent went to the house following information that they received from a suspect whom they had detained recently.

"After raiding the house about 2pm, the police team found a plastic bag containing the pistol and the bullets.

"Investigation showed that the pistol was not genuine but the bullets were real. Police later detained the four," he said.

Zaki said police were investigating their motive in possessing the fake gun.

He said the four, aged between 33 to 43 years old, had been remanded for four days to assist police investigation into the case.

Zaki added the men, all locals, were also tested positive for drugs.

"All of them have previous records in crime and drug abuse," he said.
