ISKANDAR PUTERI: A civil servant was among 13 people arrested when police crashed a private party at a condominium, here, early Sunday morning.

Iskandar Puteri police chief Assistant Commissioner Dzulkhairi Mukhtar said the 4am raid was carried out following surveillance by the police.

"The 27-year-old civil servant was one of 10 men and three women aged between 17 and 27 arrested at the party.

"The organiser, who was also arrested, invited the partygoers through WhatsApp application.

"No payment was charged for the party, which began on Saturday night and expected to end early Sunday morning," said Dzulkhairi in a statement.

He said 11 of the suspects, including the civil servant, tested positive for drug use while two of them were found to be wanted by the police for drug-related offences.

"The case is being investigated under Section 15(1)(a) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952 and for violating the National Recovery Plan standard operating procedures (SOPs)," said Dzulkhairi.
