KUALA LUMPUR: Two infants were found abandoned in two separate incidents in Selangor and Johor yesterday (Jan 28).

In Subang Jaya, Selangor, a baby boy was discovered left at the front gates of Rumah Amal Cahaya Tengku Ampuan Rahimah orphanage at about 1pm.

District police chief Assistant Commissioner Mohammad Azlin Sadari said the baby, which was found by three of the orphanage’s workers, was believed to be about four days old.

The baby was sent to the Shah Alam hospital for a medical check-up and it is learnt to be in good health.

In Batu Pahat, Johor, a 52-year old woman was shocked when she found a baby boy wrapped in a towel and left at the gate of her house.

District police chief Assistant Commissioner Abdul Wahid Musa said the woman had heard a baby crying at about 6.30am before making the discovery.

Wahid said the baby was sent to the Sultanah Nora Ismail for a medical check-up.
