KOTA BARU: Former state executive councillor, Datuk Husam Musa, who is Parti Amanah Nasional (Pan) state assemblyman for Salor, was told to leave the state assembly sitting after he repeatedly ignored the speaker's order to refrain from intervening when the Menteri Besar Datuk Ahmad Yakob was winding up the debate to thank the acting Sultan of Kelantan for his address when opening the sitting on Monday.

Speaker Datuk Abdullah Yaacob asked state assembly officials to escort the former Pas vice-president out of the assembly when he ignored the orders.

Husam, when met after the meeting, said it was the first time he was send out of a meeting in his political career.

"I don't think my action is wrong as an assemblyman is allowed to intervene during a speech by an exco member or Menteri Besar. It is in the regulations of the state assembly," he said.

Ahmad said Husam should have obeyed the orders when it was given by the speaker.

"The sitting has its regulations and all members must abide by them," he said.
