THERE is now a specialised oil to help high mileage cars last longer. The new Shell Helix High Mileage 15W50 synthetic technology multi-fuel engine oil formulated with Flexi Molecule Technology is designed specifically for cars with more than 100,000km on the odometer.
The oil claims to offer 40 per cent better wear protection and Shell’s proprietary Active Cleansing Technology cleans dirty deposits, up to 34 per cent sludge removal on the first oil change.
Recommended retail price for the new Shell Helix variant is RM148 for a four-litre pack while a one-litre pack retails for RM41. (Sabah and Sarawak; RM150 and RM41 respectively).
At the launch earlier this week, Shell Malaysia Trading Sdn. Bhd. Managing Director, Shairan Huzani Husain said that the latest Shell Helix variant reflected the company’s commitment to delivering innovative solutions that meet the needs of everyday drivers.
“There are some 11 million cars on the road and approximately half are 10 years or older. Shell Helix High Mileage is formulated to address common problems in high mileage cars.” he added.
In conjunction with the launch, car owners who choose the new variant at participating workshops will enjoy RM25 off from the invoiced amount. The promotion is valid from March 15 until May 15, 2017.
