KUALA LUMPUR: The MotoGP circus has roared back into town.

In advance of the Shell Malaysia Motorcycle Grand Prix 2016 at the Sepang International Circuit (SIC) this weekend, Shell Advance, together with Ducati Corse, toured the Klang Valley's 'motorcycle mile' in a convoy down Jalan Sentul.

Ducati Corse riders, Andrea Dovizioso and Andrea Iannone made pit stops at eight Shell Advance motorcycle shops along the road for a grand photocall.

However, as soon as the ace bikers arrived at Jalan Sentul, they were mobbed by fans seeking selfies and autographs of their Ducati posters.

Both riders were pleasantly surprised by the response they received.

Following the autograph session, Shell Advance asked both Andreas to present prizes for a competition they organised yesterday – the Fastest Oil Change Challenge held especially for mechanics in the area.

The Desmo Owners Club Malaysia was also in attendance at the event.

Club President, Nageb Majid said: "We are glad to see Andrea Iannone back on the bike for Sepang, and hope both riders have a good race this weekend. This event is a good opportunity for Shell to promote its products with help from Ducati Corse."
