KUALA LUMPUR: Fujifilm Malaysia has unveiled the Instax Mini 70 camera, which promises to be more user-friendly and fun to use.

The new model offers a variety of shooting modes that allow the user to enjoy photography in a variety of situations.

Among others, it features the Auto Exposure Control function to capture both the main subject and background in natural brightness, as well as the newly added ‘Selfie’ mode.

Fujifilm Malaysia managing director Yoshitaka Nakamura says the Fujifilm Instax Mini 70 modern design broadens its appeal to not only young women, but also men, making it a perfect fashion statement at any occasion at any time.

According to Yoshitaka, users can choose the ‘Selfie’ mode to provide the appropriate brightness and shooting distance for their shots, and use the mirror beside the lens to check their framing.

He said the features such as the tripod mount and the self-timer function are perfect for group shots.

"In addition, the ‘Macro’ mode can be used for shots at a minimum of 30cm from the subject, and the ‘Landscape’ mode for far away landscape pictures," he added.

“The camera is timely in an era where the selfie is transforming how we capture perfectly framed images of ourselves, our friends, and our family.”

Priced at RM598 (inclusive 6% GST), the Fujifilm Instax Mini 70 is available nationwide from Nov 1, 2015 at any authorised Fujifilm dealers' outlet.

It comes in three colour options – Canary Yellow, Island Blue and Moon White.

Also present at the launch in Petaling Jaya last week was the new Fujifilm brand ambassador Cathryn Lee. Lee is an actress and also a professional pianist.
