KOTA BARU: PAS spiritual adviser Datuk Nik Abdul Aziz Nik Mat left Universiti Sains Malaysia Hospital yesterday after undergoing treatment for almost a week for fatigue.
Deputy Menteri Besar Datuk Mohd Amar Nik Abdullah denied reports circulating online that the former menteri besar was seriously ill, saying Nik Aziz was in good health.
“He is okay and there is nothing wrong with his health. The pictures posted online were old pictures of him when he had a heart attack several years ago.
“Internet users should be more responsible and should not spread unverified information that could cause trouble, especially on the health of other people,” he said after a religious talk at the state Pas headquarters here yesterday.
Amar said the public should pray for the health of others.
“Getting ill is normal. Today it could be us, another day it might be someone else.”
It is learnt that Nik Aziz left the hospital about 11am yesterday after admission last Friday.
“Basically, he was admitted to hospital to rest. The past few weeks have been quite hectic for him and he received many visitors, especially during the school holidays.”
