ALOR STAR: Tunku Temenggong Kedah Tan Sri Tunku Sallehuddin Sultan Badlishah and Toh Puan Temenggong Kedah Puan Sri Tengku Maliha Tengku Ariff as well as the Menteri Besar Kedah Datuk Seri Mukhriz Mahathir attended a Maal Hijrah celebration at Dewan Seri Negeri in Wisma Darulaman today.
The event was attended by members of the public. Highlights included a nasyid performance by students led by Nurulhanim Nazri and a ceramah to commemorate the religious occasion.
In his speech Tunku Sallehuddin said that he hoped that Muslims will continue to progress and face all the challenges of the future.
"It is important that we take responsibility for our actions.
"We have to use discernment in conducting ourselves for the good of the community," he added.
