KUALA LUMPUR: IN the wake of the Malaysia Airlines flight MH17 tragedy, ticket sales of the airliner have not been affected, according to a number of travel agencies.

Star Travel said no customers had cancelled their flights and it was still selling MAS tickets.

“There are still people buying the tickets, just like normal,” an employee said.

Skyzone Sdn Bhd, another travel agency based here, said: “There is no problem, even today MAS
tickets are being sold,” said an agent.

Travel agencies, City Sentral Travel and Tours Sdn Bhd, also said they were still selling MAS tickets.

“No one has cancelled his flight. In fact, we sold a flight ticket to Paris, today,” said a ticketing agent.

Incentive and business travel specialists BMC Travel Sdn Bhd said there were neither cancellation of flight tickets nor changes in itineraries by customers.

“We have not received any request to change carriers.

“However, we received fewer calls for bookings today compared with other days,” said its ticketing manager.

AF Travel Sdn Bhd assistant manager Michael Low said some of his clients, who are taking long-haul flights, had requested for a change in carriers.

“There have not been any cancellation but there were some clients who requested to change carriers.”
