INTENDED for riders who love long journeys and wonderlust, Ducati focused on improving the Multistrada V4's ride comfort, riding range, as well as off-road aptitude with the new Rally model.
At chassis level, it retains the monocoque aluminium frame, aluminium double-sided swingarm, and comes exclusively with tubeless spoke rims which are redesigned and lightened to improve the dynamics.
Living up to its 'Rally' name, the model features semi-active suspensions with travel increased to 200mm, new Power Mode dedicated to off-roading, wider foot pegs, Auto-levelling function and Skyhook DSS EVO control strategy.
On top of that it gets a redesigned windshield, lengthened tail, adjustable saddle heights, and lowered suspension kit.
It comes with an array of accessories for you to personalize your bike, from different saddles, different options for the windscreen, steel-tube engine guard, additional LED spotlights, carbon-fibre trims, aluminium levers, satnav with dedicated support, and various luggage solutions.
At the heart of the bike is the familiar 1,158cc V4 Granturismo engine making 170hp at 10,750rpm and 121Nm at 8,750rpm.
The torque curve is engineered to behave linearly to ensure smooth and progressive response at all revs.
Riders will be able to select between four riding modes which now includes an updated Enduro mode that caps power to 114hp without sacrificing throttle response.
With total weight of only 66.7kg, Ducati says the V4 Granturismo continues to be the benchmark in terms of power and lightness.
This is gained by refined technical solutions, such as a counter-rotating crankshaft, derived from the experience gained in MotoGP, which works against the gyroscopic inertia of the wheels, but also the torque curves dedicated to each single gear ratio to combine smooth delivery at low revs.
In terms of safety, the Multistrada V4 Rally comes with world's first Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) for motorcycles, along with the usual items like ABS Cornering, Ducati Cornering Lights (DCL), which improve night visibility by illuminating the inside of corners, Ducati Wheelie Control (DWC) and Ducati Traction Control (DTC).
It is offered in three variants – Adventure Radar (equipped with Adaptive Cruise Control and Blind Spot Detection), Adventure Travel & Radar (adds aluminium side cases, heated grips and saddles), and Full Adventure (fitted with homologated Akrapovič silencer and a carbon fibre front mudguard).
