KUALA LUMPUR: Edaran Modenas Sdn Bhd (EMOS), the subsidiary of Motosikal dan Enjin Nasional Sdn Bhd (Modenas), has expanded the number of Kawasaki service dealers nationwide to 20.

The expansion, following the end of the six-month transition period from the former distributor of Kawasaki products to EMOS, includes dealers in the Central and Northern region as well as one in Sabah.

Authorised dealers will continue to distribute and provide aftersales service, spare parts and accessories for Kawasaki models in Malaysia until further notice. This includes technical related service enquiries including recall related matters.

"We are pleased to have KMSB Solutions as one of the Kawasaki aftersales Central region support team. They certainly have the upper hand by having the in-depth experience and knowledge in handling Kawasaki models from being the former Kawasaki motorcycle distributor in Malaysia.

"By this we can assure of a sustained continuity in catering towards the Kawasaki owners' needs and growth and of the brand nationwide." said Modenas chief executive officer Roslan Roskan.

Modenas chief marketing officer Kashiwagi Yusaku added that the appointment of seven new service dealers show the acceptance of its business partners to continue servicing and marketing the Kawasaki brand locally.

EMOS will be introducing the latest models from the Kawasaki line-up and unveiling of its exclusive Kawasaki showrooms in stages.

The company is set to establish a wider Kawasaki service dealer network nationwide with an additional 20 dealers by next year to conclude the first phase of its plan to cater towards its existing and growing local customer base.
