#JOM: KLCC in Christmas mood with Gingerbread Christmas Village

IN conjunction with the upcoming Christmas, Suria KLCC, has set up the 'Gingerbread Christmas Village' at the mall's Centre Court.
The celebration, which runs from Nov 24, 2023 to Jan 1, 2024, draws inspiration from the cherished tradition of making gingerbread men and gingerbread houses during the festive season.
Shoppers will get to see and experience Gingerbread buildings adorned with delectable "icing" and candy-coloured decorations.
A Gingerbread Chocolate Fountain also stands tall with its luscious cascades, adding to the allure of this fanciful atmosphere.
The centrepiece, a magnificent Gingerbread Clock Tower, comes to life as a Gingerbread Man dances to festive music when the clock strikes each hour.
The village journey continues with the Gingerbread Toyshop, where an array of toys and gifts await, accompanied by a festive photobooth for creating lasting memories.
The hands-on experience extends to a Gingerbread Post Office, where shoppers can pen heartfelt greetings on postcards destined for loved ones.
These Christmas postcards, stamped with exclusive Suria KLCC stamps, can be obtained by purchasing the Suria Ribbon Pin. Shoppers will be pleased to know that the sales of the ribbon pin actively support selected non-governmental organisations that champion mental health.
Also, part of their corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives this Christmas, Suria KLCC said it is donating RM3,000 to the Dignity for Children Foundation, adding an extra layer of warmth and goodwill to the festive season.
It said, throughout the celebration period, shoppers can take part in a fun Gingerbread Man Personality Quiz to unveil their persona and receive a limited-edition Gingerbread Man pin.
During weekends and on Christmas Day, there will be special appearances by Santa Claus and Ms Calus to delight young and old alike.
Meanwhile, at Esplanade KLCC, visitors can once again be enchanted by Malaysia's tallest Christmas tree, adorned with charming Gingerbread-themed ornaments and bathed in festive hues. The radiant display not only creates a picturesque backdrop for photos but also beautifully encapsulates the joyful essence of the Christmas season.
Suria KLCC said shoppers who spend RM1,500 and above in 2 receipts are rewarded with a RM100 Suria KLCC Shopping e-Voucher.

The 'Gingerbread Christmas Village' also becomes the year-end holiday theme at Alamanda Putrajaya.
Running from Nov 24, 2023 to Jan 1, 2024, the Centre Court transforms into a festive haven with vibrant decorations. Beyond the appealing setup, shoppers can take part in entertaining performances and activities, adding a joyous spirit to the holiday celebrations.
During the celebration period, plenty of activities are slated on the weekends and on Christmas Day to keep adults and children alike entertained. Among the activities include dance performances, magic shows, marching band performances as well as Santa unicycling and juggling. Santa Claus meet-and greet sessions are also held on Christmas Eve and on Christmas Day.
VIKids will be able to take part in an exclusive activity where they can unleash their creativity by crafting gingerbread houses using popsicle sticks. In Kemaman's Mesra Mall, Terengganu, the Christmas spirit comes alive with the theme of 'Gingerbread Christmas Village' from Dec 1 to 31. As part of the holiday festivities, Mesra Mall is hosting the VIKids Science Workshop from Dec 21 to 25.
