KUALA LUMPUR: Singer Lay Zhang of Exo fame blended in with the locals so well that netizens would not have noticed him.

AsiaOne reported yesterday that the Chinese singer who made his showbiz debut as part of K-Pop group Exo, visited Kuala Lumpur for his July 10 World Tour Grandline 4: Step concert and was seen dining outside Grand Sky restaurant, Jalan Alor, Bukit Bintang.

Videos showed the 32-year-old dressed in black with a cap on.

Some fans also managed to snap photos with the star.

One netizen on X Grandline4 PCD! joked: "Lay lepak. So Malaysian."

Others called him abang, referencing his playful remark when he arrived in Malaysia on July 8.

Lay had spotted a billboard advertisement of himself then, and posted a photo of it on his Instagram page saying: "Hello Abang Lay!"
