KUALA LUMPUR: Actor Hafidz Roshdi does not consider his job as a delivery person to be beneath him as he is earning a proper income.

The 30-year-old artiste, who has been working for a courier company for almost two months, said he has gained inner peace even though his income is no longer as good as before.

"I'm not choosy as long as the rezeki is halal, there is nothing to be ashamed of and I'd rather do this than not doing anything straight away.

"I feel like a newbie who just finished his SPM (Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia) and is just starting his life.

"There are still acting offers, but I have chosen not to act at this time.

"Thank God, even though my current job is far from glamorous and the income is not as good as acting, I have found peace," he said in a news report yesterday.

Hafidz added that he was happy with the new job which was less stressful than acting where he was free to set his own schedule without needing to be tied to any party.

"I can go at my own pace, if I get four or five trips in a day, that's enough. I get recognised a lot and people willingly tip me.

"It's normal to have ups and downs in life, I'm happy and I don't feel stressed.

"There's no need to feel sympathy for me because I'm just fine. Thank God, my wife is also very supportive.

"My wife has known me since before I had anything. She's not bothered about my career as long as it's halal," he said.

Hafiz explained that what he has gone through could be a starting point for him to try something in another field after becoming too comfortable as an actor.

"My mother advised me to continue my studies and I also see that maybe this is an opportunity to try and switch to the business field since I've had a desire to do this for a while now.

"I only ask, even if there are those who don't like it and feel that I'm guilty, be angry at me, but don't look down on my work," he said.

Previously, Hafidz married Nurul Shuhada Mat Shukri, 30, on April 30, 2016 and are blessed with two children, namely Humairah, 7, and Umar, 4.

However, they divorced on July 27 last year after it was hotly rumoured to have been due to the presence of a 'third person'.

Hafidz then married Athira Yuhada, on Dec 15 last year.
