KUALA LUMPUR: Pop queen Datuk Seri Siti Nurhaliza's Genting Highlands concert on Aug 10 has been extended for another night, due to overwhelming support from fans.
Siti's Konsert Siti Nurhaliza Cinta Di Awan at Resorts World Genting's Arena Of Stars saw tickets sold out within an hour when sales began on April 25.
Resorts World Genting announced in a statement on Instagram today that the concert will also be held at 8.30pm on Aug 11.
"Attention all Sitizoners! Here is some great news for you. Due to an overwhelming response from the Malaysian public, we have decided to extend Konsert Siti Nurhaliza Cinta Di Awan for another night," said the statement.
"Don't forget to book a place in this concert, a first for Siti Nurhaliza in the Arena Of Stars."
Resorts World Genting also announced that ticket sales for the second night of the concert will begin on May 6.
Many fans of Siti were disappointed that tickets were promptly sold out on April 25, and urged the organisers to extend the concert for another night.
Siti said in an Instagram post that her fans' overwhelming response to the concert meant that she would work extra hard to give them a memorable show.
"Thank you my dearest fans. On my part, I will do my utmost to make the concert a great one that we will all remember. I'll be working very hard to prepare myself for it in the months to come," said Siti.
