KUALA LUMPUR: Singer Anuar Zain has cautioned fans not to fall prey to online scammers pretending to be him.

Anuar, through his management team, reminded fans that if they come across suspicious accounts on social media or on other apps, it should be reported immediately to the authorities.

"Be careful with scammers who appear in various ways.

"Make sure you don't fall for scammers, especially those who ask for money!

"We (the management team) want to emphasise that Anuar Zain does not have FB, IG, Telegram, Twitter accounts, other than @anuarzainnetwork on Facebook, @anuarzainnetwork and @anuarzain70 on Instagram, @anuarzainnetwork on TikTok and on Telegram at https://t.me/anuarzainnetwork.

"To anyone who falls victim to active scammers, you are advised to continue making police reports, block and report the number as soon as possible," he wrote in an Instagram story posting.

Meanwhile, Anuar also expressed his gratitude to those who reported cases of impersonation to his management team.

"Thanks to those who acted quickly by contacting the management before falling victim to the scammers," said the singer of "Andainya Takdir".

Through the same post, Anuar, who is Ziana Zain's younger brother, also shared screenshots of messages displaying conversations between the scammers and victims, which were sent to him.
