KUALA LUMPUR: Veteran actor Jaafar Onn is reportedly unwell, due to complications relating to his cardiac tract.

In a Harian Metro report today, the 73-year-old artiste has been dependent on a wheelchair to move around for the past six months, as his health problem had affected his legs.

Jaafar said he would still need to go through several procedures for the doctors to determine his actual health condition, according to the report.

"As for now, they had only told me that there's a problem with my cardiac tract. I am not sure what is wrong with me as they have yet to do more tests to find out what is the real cause of my current condition.

"This problem has resulted in me having swollen legs, making it difficult to move around without a wheelchair," he shared.

Jaafar added that he could still walk, but only to tread carefully while being assisted by another person, as he could risk a fall which would lead to other complications.

He added that it had been a while since he was last invited to perform at events due to his health.

"The last time I performed was in April last year, where I did a duet with the late Rohana Jalil."

Earlier, a video showing him in a wheelchair went viral, causing fans to wonder about his condition.
