KUALA LUMPUR: Entrepreneur Watie Hanifiah has revealed that she was recently scammed, resulting in a loss of almost RM100,000.

In a news report today, the 36-year-old spouse of comedian Shuib of Sepahtu fame, said being gullible to any investment scheme with high returns, it was hard for her to resist or be careful before investing.

"I just found out about the scheme being a scam just before I flew to China," the report quoted Watie, who added that could also be a lesson to her for not heeding her husband's advice to be wary when it comes to any investment scheme.

She added that her Instagram account was also suspended on the same day.

"Definitely not a good start for 2024, with all these happening in January," she said.

In the end, Watie whose full name is Fati Nikmatul Adawiyah Hanifiah, said that Shuib has since not missed the chance to keep reminding her, albeit jokingly, of that incident.
