KUALA LUMPUR: Mizz Nina has claimed that her adopted son, Musa, suffered trauma after being taken from her house without her consent for more than three weeks.

The 44-year-old humanitarian activist, whose full name is Shazrina Azman, said Musa was dealing with trauma after he was allegedly taken by her ex-husband and vocalist for indie band Hujan, Noh Salleh.

"Imagine a small child being taken out of his home. He is traumatised because he has to be away from his family, friends and neighbours who are really close to him.

"Musa was traumatised because he was looking for his mother but couldn't find her. He was very scared and so was I. Musa was very worried," she said in a news report today.

Mizz Nina revealed that she had taken Musa to see a psychiatrist after getting him back.

"When Musa returned home, he was sick, had diarrhoea and was vomiting. And his nails were long and dirty.

"My husband and I immediately took Musa to see several doctors and psychiatrists to check on his physical and mental health," she said.

Mizz Nina added that the incident had also resulted in Musa having "abandonment issues".

"For example, if I want to take him out, Musa will be afraid and hold on to me tightly. Musa seems to feel that I will not return to him," she said.
