PETALING JAYA: Media Prima Bhd's popular television network 8TV continues to be Malaysia's No.1 Chinese-language channel as it celebrates its 20th anniversary this year.

The event brought together Media Prima Bhd's management, the dedicated 8TV team, valued clients and sponsors and nearly 100 celebrities for a joyous celebration.
Some of the guests in attendance included Media Prima Berhad Group Chairman, Datuk Seri (Dr) Syed Hussian Aljunid; Omnia Chief Operating Officer, Stephany Wong and 8TV Chief Operating Officer, Kevin Foo.
It was also announced during the Gala Night that 8TV would continue its collaboration with Taiwan television channel, Sanlih E-Television (SET), for a special edition of the reality programme, Yes Night Market.
In addition to that, 8TV will be expanding its horizons by teaming up with a production company in Singapore to produce captivating dramas.
8TV's 20th Anniversary Gala Night also featured performances by Malaysian Idol winner Jaclyn Victor and talented local singer Jeryl Lee, who emerged as champion of China's The Next 2023 last year.
Since its inception in 2004, 8TV has championed originality and innovation, prioritising homegrown content alongside acclaimed international dramas and variety shows.
