KUALA LUMPUR: Young businesswoman Irenee Deanna, 25, has denied any alleged romantic relationship with film director Syamsul Yusof.
Irenee said she was surprised at the circulating rumour among Netizens that she and the famous 39-year-old filmmaker were an item.
"I don't have any comment on this but as far as I'm concerned, all I can say is that there's absolutely nothing going on.
"I myself am surprised at how this story has come about," she said when met at a press conference for the Stars On Fire Kuala Lumpur Concert here, today.
The rumorville went into a frenzy after photos of the two individuals in a shot together went viral recently.
"They were just pictures. Actually, Syamsul had come around for a business matter with Utama Motors. So we took a picture since he's my parents' business acquaintance," she said on the matter involving her family-owned motoring company.
Irenee added that she has not been affected by the gossip or comments online.
"Fortunately, none of this has affected me and I just carry on with my life. I just read and laugh it away."
When asked if she was in a relationship with anyone, Irenee said: "No comment."
