KUALA LUMPUR: Jimin of international K-pop sensation BTS will be releasing his first solo documentary, Jimin's Production Diary, exclusively on Weverse on Oct 23.

The film is expected to chronicle his solo career and the making of his hit debut solo EP, Face, which dropped in March.

An announcement was made earlier this week on social media accompanied by a short trailer which featured clips of the idol in the studio.

In it, Jimin, who celebrates his 28th birthday today, said: "I can say that there are more things I want to do."

Face, which explores themes of loneliness, wrestling with oneself and finding freedom, via its six tracks topped the charts in various countries like the US, Japan and South Korea upon its release.

Its single, Like Crazy, also debuted at No.1 on Billboard's Hot 100 chart in the US.

Jimin earned multiple Guinness World Records titles this year for Fastest Solo K-pop Artiste to Reach 1 billion Streams on Spotify (male), Most Streamed Track on SoundCloud and Most Streamed Track on SoundCloud in 24 hours for his song Promise.

The seven-piece BTS is currently on hiatus as several of its members are currently undergoing their mandatory military service.
