KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia's most beloved twins are set to have their very own family restaurant chain soon.

TMG Ventures and animation house Les' Copaque Productions will soon establish Upin & Ipin-themed restaurants specially for fans of the pre-teen heroes and their popular animated series.

TMG is the owner of multiple food and beverage brands including The Majapahit Restaurant in Mont Kiara.

TMG executive director Suhazlee Othman said in a news report yesterday that teaming up with Les' Copaque to introduce the Upin & Ipin-themed restaurants was a milestone in restaurant history.

"It will establish a unique dining destination for Upin & Ipin enthusiasts and expand the brand further."

Les' Copaque has over the last 16 years and through 17 seasons mesmerised viewers in Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, Brunei, Vietnam, Thailand, India and Canada with the zany antics and adventures of the mischievous and adorable twins Upin & Ipin.

The twins have 10 million YouTube subscribers and 14.3 million Facebook followers.

Les' Copaque managing director Burhanuddin Md Radzi said: "The Upin & Ipin brand champions unity, diversity and family, and our collaboration with TMG will bring these values into restaurants.

"We aim to create a dining experience with quality food and the wholesome family values of Upin & Ipin."
