KUALA LUMPUR: Legendary pop rock band headed by Datuk M. Nasir, Kembara, will be back to entertain fans at the Plenary Hall of the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC) on July 31.

Konsert Kembara Panorama Jingga: 1444 Hijrah by Shiraz Projects will feature the celebrated singer together with Zoul (lead guitars, vocals), Rahman Suri (bass), Shahrum Basiron (drums) and Md Shah Othman (keyboards).

Known for its hit songs from the 1980s such as Ekspres Rakyat, Hati Emas, Kepadamu Kekasih, Gerhana, Keroncong Untuk Ana and Duit, the band's last live concert was back in 2014.

In a statement today, Shiraz Projects executive producer Shirazdeen Karim said: "Discussions and planning for this concert had already taken place before the pandemic hit but we had to accept the situation."

"For this year, we are very excited to present Kembara in concert at the prestigious Plenary Hall.

"Kembara will most certainly deliver energetic performances of its string of nostalgic and iconic songs for the audience," he said.

Shiraz added that something special had been prepared for audiences at the upcoming concert.

"Why is the concert given the name Kembara Panorama Jingga: 1444 Hijrah? Diehard fans might probably figure it out already but to be sure, everyone should come to the concert to experience a pleasant surprise," he said.

Tickets, which will go on sale on Friday (June 10) at 2pm, are priced at RM860 (Meet & Greet), RM460 (Diamond), RM360 (Platinum), RM260 (Gold), RM200 (Silver) and RM160 (Bronze).
